Nestled into a wooded hillside in Alamo California, this home renovation was designed to create the perfect new luxurious retreat.

Our clients, a retired couple, had raised their family in this home but had never quite got around to updating the bedroom wing of the residence. Collaborating with a local architect and builder we were able to design a new expanded addition and create a wonderful primary bedroom suite as well as update their guest bathroom.

Their new primary bedroom now includes an indoor/outdoor connection to their back deck and lovely hillside yard, as well as a large picture window to bring in more natural light. Our clients are avid readers, so we created a built-in bookcase and reading corner to cozy into. New custom furnishings, bedding, rug and draperies create a soothing escape at the end of the day.

The primary bathroom design includes textural tile from Ann Sacks, Kallista plumbing fixtures, a beautiful Bali blue quartzite countertop and custom cabinetry to create a serene aesthetic. The guest bathroom was designed with a little more whimsy and a dash of charm. It’s perfect now for visiting family and especially grandkids ready for their bathtime!
